Photography: People

Me and others

Including people in my photographs is my least favorite hobby. Still, sometimes interesting results are obtained. The photographs below include either myself, or friends of mine, or completely unknown people.

Los Angeles, CA

Battle of the Demigods. A 15 second exposure, downtown LA in the background, and a quickly-moving flashlight create this astonishing light painting shot.

Paris, France

In front of the Notre Dame in Paris lies "Point Zero" - the point from which all distances in France are being measured from. Using a 10mm wide angle lens, we managed to fit our group's distorted faces into this single shot right above Point Zero.

Skopelos, Greece

My friend Stefanos captured this moment in time when during our wedding ceremony at the Island of Skopelos, the priest feeds our best man with the local specialty of honey and nuts. It's not that he didn't like the taste, but he was disgusted by the fact that all the other 5 people involved in the ceremony (bride, groom, maid of honor etc) had to be fed from the same spoon.

New York City, New York

Probably my favorite picture of myself, enjoying the vibe of Times Square the first time I ever visited it, in May 2004.

Grand Canyon, Arizona

Myself and Reza through Erdem's sunglasses during an unforgettable hike.

London, United Kingdom

Trying to seduce a wax figure of Angelina Jolie at Madam Tusseauds.

New York City, New York

Kid playing in the fountains of Washington Square on a hot summer afternoon.

Pindos, Greece

On a very foggy evening, trying to camp in the mountains.

Athens, Greece

Dora playing with Christmas presents at the hills of NTUA.

Kavala, Greece

My brother Yiorgos and a veeery long exposure time, with a lighter.

Greenwich, United Kingdom

Standing on both of the world's hemispheres simultaneously.

Maui, Hawai'i

Contrary to popular belief, native Hawaians are pretty... ugly!

Maui, Hawai'i

Of course, the same does not hold true for the tourists that visit these islands (the bottom piece reads: Just Married).
